Shabbat-observing citizens can receive alerts about missiles or terrorist intrusions, Hashem forbid, during Shabbat, in the following ways:
1.
Radio stations
The following stations stop
broadcasting from the beginning of Shabbat or a Chag. In case of danger, a
warning will break the silence on the broadcast:
Kol Chai Radio (102.5/92.8/93fm)
Kol Brama and Kol Play
(107.6/104.3/92.1/105.7fm)
Kan Moreshet Radio (92.5/90.5/90.8/100.7fm)
Galey Israel Radio (106.5/94/89.3fm)
South:
Beer Sheva, central and southern
Negev: (97/95.8fm)
Ashdod, Ashkelon, Sderot, Lachish and
the Gaza Strip: (101.5fm)
2.
On a home computer
You can connect before Shabbat to the
national emergency portal here
https://www.oref.org.il/12481-he/Pakar.aspx
Click on the speaker icon next to the
"Alerts" tab on the home page,
Define the area you were in on the
"Alerts" page
and leave the computer active with
speakers during Shabbat.
If rockets are fired into the area you
set, you will receive a warning with a sound and a display on the screen.
(And cover the screen with a sheet or
cloth to avoid seeing things unnecessarily).
