עדכונים חשובים לגבי הפסקת חשמל אפשרית (ט"ז שבט)

אנו היהודים, אנחנו בניו האהובים של הקב"ה, שהבטיח לנו בתורה במפורש, שאם נלך בדרכיו הוא ישמור עלינו ולא יאונה לנו כל רע. בפרט יהודים שגרים בארץ הקודש, עליה יש השגחה מיוחדת מאת הקב"ה. לכן הדברים הבאים נאמרים רק מצד חובת ההשתדלות לשמירת הנפש.

כידוע, במקרה של המשך המלחמה צפויה הפסקת חשמל במשך כמה ימים. ייתכן שתיפגע גם אספקת המים. חשוב להתכונן למצב זה, בפרט משפחות עם תינוקות, קשישים וחולים התלויים באספקת חשמל.

ללא חשמל, המכשירים הבאים לא יפעלו:

·        תאורה חשמלית

·        כיריים חשמליות, תנור חשמלי, קומקום חשמלי

·        מקרר ומקפיא

·        חימום, הסקה, מזגן

·        דוד חשמל למים חמים, יונקרס

·        מכונת כביסה

·        טלפון נייד ומחשב

·        מעלית

·        לא בטוח שיהיו מים בברזים, בגלל משאבות שלא יפעלו

·        בשירותים, אולי לא יהיו מים לשטוף את האסלה

לכן כדאי להכין:

1.      מלאי של מזון יבש שאינו מצריך קירור

2.      מינימום אוכל שצריך קירור

3.      לתכנן איך להשתמש במזון שבמקפיא שיפשיר

4.      מים

5.      לבוש חם ושמיכות, להתגונן מפני קור, בפרט לתינוקות וילדים

6.      רשימת טלפונים וכתובות חירום על גבי נייר

7.      תאורת חירום ופנסים

8.      לתינוקות שניזונים מפורמולה: להכין אמצעים להרתחת מים ללא חשמל

9.      המשתמשים בכיריים חשמליות: להכין דרך אחרת לבישול אוכל, כגון גזיה או מנגל עם פחמים

Updates Regarding a Possible Power Outage (ט"ז שבט)

We Jews are the beloved children of Hashem, who promised us explicitly in the Torah, that if we follow His ways He will protect us from any harm. In particular, Jews who live in Eretz Yisrael, over which there is special Hashgacha from the One above. Therefore, the following is said only because of our obligation of hishtadlut.

As we know, with the continuation of the war, a long power outage is expected for several days. The water supply may also be affected.

It is important to prepare for this situation, especially families with babies, the elderly and the sick who depend on electricity supply.

To their basic information I have added common sense advice.

 

Without electricity, the following devices will not work:

• Electric lighting

• Electric stove, hot plate, electric kettle

• Refrigerator and freezer

• Heating, air conditioning

• Electric boiler for hot water, Yonkers

• Washing machine

• Mobile phone and computer

• Elevators

• It is not certain that there will be water in the faucets, because pumps will not work

• In the bathroom, there may not be water to flush the toilet

 

Prepare:

1. A stock of food that does not require refrigeration

2. Minimum food that needs refrigeration

3. Plan how to use the food in the freezer that has been thawed

4. plenty of water

5. Warm clothing and blankets, to protect against cold, especially for babies and children

6. a paper with a list of emergency phone numbers and addresses

7. Emergency lighting and flashlights

8. For formula-fed babies: prepare means to boil water without electricity

9. Those using hot plates: prepare another way to cook food, such as gas or a barbecue with coals

דברי מרן הרב שך זצ"ל על הקיום היהודי בגלות ובשעת מלחמה

נאמרו לאחר מלחמת יום הכיפורים - ואקטואליים גם לימינו

"בִּתְקוּפָה זוֹ שֶׁהִיא שְׁעַת מִלְחָמָה, יֵשׁ מִצְוַת עֲשֵׂה מִן הַתּוֹרָה לִזְעֹק וְלָדַעַת שֶׁהַכֹּל בָּא מִפְּנֵי הַמַּעֲשִׂים הָרָעִים, כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתַב הָרַמְבָּ"ם.

הָבָה נִקַּח אֶת עַצְמֵנוּ וְנִתְחַזֵּק בַּכֹּל, בַּתּוֹרָה וּבְיִרְאַת שָׁמַיִם, וְה' יִהְיֶה בְּעֶזְרֵנוּ!"

 A speech he gave after the Yom Kippur War, and is very applicable today

 

"At this time of war, there is a mitzvah from the Torah to pray, and know that everything comes from evil deeds, as the Rambam wrote.

And it is forbidden to think that this is a coincidence, and to say that this is the nature of the world, that after so many years have passed since the establishment of the State, there are enemies who want to fight it, and the way of nature is that they go to war.

On such a thought, the Rambam wrote that this is a way of cruelty, because the truth is that it is not an accident and it is not the world's way, but it is covered and hidden by the power of choice which He gave, so that people would learn and understand that the intention of Creation is to have a choice, and there is a reason for everything.

Which is why there is now a mitzvah of the Torah to pray. And if so, saying Tehillim is not just a recitation. It is a positive commandment from the Torah to do so.

Let us be strong, because it is not only a time of war, but also a time when we are called upon – me, you, and every one of us: 'return, my children'.

Anyone can act to strengthen Torah learning, and yirat shamayim, and this is the main thing that maintains the existence of the Jewish people. On this we have a tradition of two thousand years that it kept us, and this is what will continue to keep us.

We cannot rely on anything else, only the Torah kept us, when there is Torah - there is the Jewish people and there is everything. Without Torah, chas v’shalom - there is no existence, no Israel and no Jews.

It is possible to be very strong materially, and the United States can send many weapons, but that will not keep us as Jews and as a Jewish nation.

Anyone who opens his eyes to reality cannot say otherwise, for there is no other reason why we have held fast for two thousand years.

Everyone who witnessed the situation before the World War knows that there was nothing that kept the existence of the people of Israel in their situation apart from the Torah, and if so, what changed today!?

Let us pick ourselves up and be strong in everything, in Torah and in yirat shamayim, and Hashem will help us!"
